Alejandra Ortiz, MA, LPC

Alejandra Ortiz is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who works with children, adolescents, and adults at Mindful Intentions. She earned both her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Jersey City University.

Alejandra has experience working with individuals from diverse age groups, ethnic backgrounds, and cultural identities, allowing her to provide culturally responsive and inclusive care. She specializes in working with children and adolescents, individuals navigating complex trauma, and members of marginalized communities. Her clinical experience includes supporting clients through challenges related to immigration, systemic inequalities, and trauma. Alejandra has provided therapy in multiple formats, including individual, family, group, and play therapy.

Alejandra takes a client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She is passionate about creating a supportive and safe environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Through collaboration, she helps individuals build resilience, process difficult experiences, and develop the tools needed to move forward with greater confidence and emotional well-being.

Alejandra offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Alejandra enjoys spending time with her cat, traveling, and searching for the perfect matcha latte.
