Karen Bendig, MSW, LCSW
Karen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children and adolescents at Mindful Intentions. She is passionate about helping young people find their voice and develop the tools they need to understand and express their emotions in healthy ways. Karen also works with adults navigating life stressors, anxiety, and depression, and offers both in-person and virtual appointments.
Karen holds a Master’s degree in Child Advocacy and has years of experience working in community mental health as a Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapist. Throughout her career, she has supported children, teens, adults, and families in building stronger communication skills, improving relationships, and reducing conflict within the family system.
Karen understands that change can be difficult and often uncomfortable, but believes that meaningful growth happens when people feel supported and empowered. She works collaboratively with clients to identify their goals and take small, manageable steps toward lasting change. Karen believes that therapy is a process, and she walks alongside her clients as they navigate challenges, build insight, and develop new coping strategies.
Her therapeutic style is open, direct, and supportive. Karen prioritizes creating a safe and welcoming space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions without judgment. She strives to help each client feel heard, understood, and empowered, while amplifying their voice and strengthening their ability to advocate for themselves.
Karen is dedicated to helping individuals and families create positive change, strengthen emotional resilience, and build healthier connections in their lives.
