Kimberly Rivera, M.ED., LPC, NCC

Kimberly Rivera is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) based in New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from William Paterson University and went on to receive her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling (M.Ed.). Kimberly is passionate about supporting and empowering individuals across the spectrum of human experience and works with adults, teens, couples, and families.

Kimberly has a strong focus on supporting neurodiverse individuals, including those who identify as ADHD, autistic, or otherwise neurodivergent. She works with individuals who are self-diagnosed, newly diagnosed, or exploring a diagnosis, helping them better understand themselves and navigate life with greater confidence and self-compassion. Kimberly also provides affirming and inclusive care for members of the LGBTQ+ community, creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and trauma-informed environment where clients feel respected and supported in their identities and relationships.

Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and personalized to meet the unique needs of each client. Kimberly integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. She is also trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Counseling, allowing her to support couples in building stronger communication, deeper connection, and healthier relationships.

Kimberly is committed to creating a therapeutic space where safety, inclusivity, and respect are central. She believes in meeting clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and working collaboratively to navigate challenges, build on strengths, and move toward personal growth.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Kimberly enjoys music and has a background in singing and playing the drums. She also has a love for the color pink, which can be found in many aspects of her everyday life.
